Setup

Point Aurora at your game installation.

The only setup Aurora needs is your game's install path. Everything else has a sane default.

Finding your game#

On launch, Aurora will automatically search your disk to find your game path. This usually resolves it before the window even opens.

However if it doesn't, you can set it manually by going to Settings → Launcher and setting your game path with the "Game Directory" setting.

Aurora currently supports every provider:

  • Native — the Perfect World Games client
  • Steam — Steam Launcher
  • Epic Games — Epic Games Store

Tip: If you have more than one installation: because Aurora's mod folder is based off your specific installation, if you switch installations your mods will not be there. We recommend copying them to the other installation in this case.

Loading your first mod#

With the GameBanana browser#

  1. Open the mod manager and click "Add Mods", then select "Install from GameBanana"
  2. Press "Install" on the mod you want to install

Manual Installation#

  1. Install a mod from a mod hosting site online
  2. Open the mod manager and click "Add Mods", then select "Install from Archive" if it's a ZIP/RAR/7z file, select "Install from Folder" if it's already extracted
  3. Wait for it to show up on the mod manager

Mods are automatically loaded in by our engine, Everlight.
