Installation
Download and install Aurora on Windows or Linux.
Aurora ships as an installer and as a portable build. Both are on available on the download page.
Windows#
Installer#
Easiest and the recommended way of installing Aurora.
- Download the Windows installer from the download page.
- Run it and configure your setup.
- Aurora will launch automatically after installation finishes.
Portable#
If you'd rather have a build that is easily transferrable, you can choose to install Aurora from the portable version.
- Download the Windows Portable Version from the download page. (Press the arrow icon)
- Extract the ZIP file into wherever you want to install Aurora.
- Launch Aurora.exe.
Linux#
Note: Although Aurora has a native Linux build, you must run the game using DW-Proton to make sure the game actually opens. We recommend using DW-Proton-10.0-26 instead of the latest versions of DW-Proton.
We recommend using ProtonPlus for this.
Warning: Aurora will not work correctly under root and/or sudo permissions. If your game installation is in a root-access folder, we recommend moving it somewhere else.
Portable#
- Download the Linux Portable Version from the download page.
- Extract the ZIP file into wherever you want to install Aurora.
- Launch Aurora.appimage
